This year (like years previous) in cross-country skiing I went with the advanced group. To my surprise, there were more people taking risks and joining the group, this was all the more fun!
The pictures shown are of the second time we went, it was beautiful and pleasantly cold. The sunlight peaked through the trees and there were no clouds to weigh the feeling of freedom down. It was incredible. Cypress also wasn't very populated on that Friday afternoon so it felt like we had the mountain to ourselves. While trudging past hill after hill and zipping down the
"Rollercoaster" everyone talked, bonded, and enjoyed the fresh-air. After staying in the school in rooms with windows that are covered, everyone relaxed, sweated a bit, and enjoyed the sound of packing snow. I developed being a communicator by encouraging those who needed it and giving pointers when they were struggling. This all counts to becoming a better leader which is something that I personally want to improve on.
